The table at La Harinera

Maya’s written up the Nomad Entrepreneur Fair — Thursday 16 July at La Harinera, an old flour factory in Valencia, part of the first València Nomads Hub Summer Meetup. Ten projects picked from an open call, around 130 people through the door, 47 nationalities. She moderated the panel on international talent. I was behind our table with the laptops open.

The people we spoke to weren’t asking whether these tools mattered. They were already stitching together their own versions, often held together with more determination than documentation.

What they wanted to talk about was the specific friction. The admin that eats a Friday. The client onboarding that never feels finished. The second-brain system they started and abandoned twice.

That last one landed. I’ve abandoned mine twice.

I’d half-prepared to explain what any of this is for, and nobody needed it. The useful conversations were the ones where someone described their own week back to me and I could point at the exact part I’d have handed to a machine. That’s a much narrower question than “what can AI do”, and a much better one.

Worth reading Maya’s account — she was on the stage half the evening and saw a side of it I didn’t.
