How to Code in Minecraft

Dennis Publishing
2016

In this first book, I was commissioned to create a guide on how to code using Minecraft, based on my experience of teaching both coding and running a Minecraft club. It was the perfect time to take an already immensely popular video game and use it to deliver critical coding skills to young people.

Bob Irving

“…It’s so much fun along the way that it’s an excellent example of what I call “stealth learning”.”

Goodreads Review

“A good Minecraft programming tutorial. Covers Scratch, Python and ComputerCraft, and particularly the ComputerCraft part is really interesting and useful. It'll give you plenty of ideas what to do and where to move on from this book - learning the ComputerCraft APIs is the perfect next step from here.”
