Should Teachers Be Using Minecraft in the Classroom?

Posted on October 2, 2014 by Jim

The kids say yes.

From the comments:

You can tell teachers about the value of Minecraft until the cows come home and not make much of an impression.  However, having students share how their learning experience is more relevant, deeper, and engaging will result in the nay-sayers rethinking their position.

In order for real learning to occur, teachers must engage the students in the learning process.  Passive engagement will not do it.  Looking at the faces of these young men as they explain why Minecraft needs to be in the classroom says it all.
