AI discovery session
Find the next useful step for AI in your business.
Bring one workflow, a stalled experiment or a decision your team needs to make. We’ll work through what happens today, where AI could help and what has to be in place before you spend money on it.
60 minutes · online · €250 · paid at booking
01 / The outcome
A decision you can act on.
We’ll focus on one problem and the people, information and systems involved. You’ll leave with:
- A clear description of the workflow and the outcome you want.
- The main constraints: access, data handling, team capability and review.
- A recommended next step, with a way to check whether it works.
Think of it as a smaller version of an AI readiness assessment: one workflow, how ready it is for AI, and what has to change first.
I’ll capture the conclusions in a short written decision brief. Any implementation, training programme or further research is scoped and quoted separately. If you go on to an engagement of €1,500 or more within 90 days of the session, the €250 fee comes off your first invoice. Terms
02 / Bring a real problem
Where we can start.
- A repetitive task
- Reporting, research, handovers or preparing information for a decision.
- A team trying to adopt AI
- What people need to learn, which tools they can use and how they’ll judge the output.
- An experiment that got stuck
- A useful result in a chat that now has to work every time.
I’ve written two books on computational thinking and I review AI and agent setups for security. We’ll consider how the work fits your organisation and how someone will verify the result.
03 / How it works
From the problem to a scoped next step.
- Book your time. Pick a slot that works in your timezone. Your place is confirmed when you book.
- Send a short description. Describe the workflow, the people involved, your current tools and what you want to change. Keep confidential records and credentials out of the form.
- Work through it together. We’ll go through the constraints, check your assumptions and agree the next step.
- Keep the decision brief. Use it with your team, or ask me to quote for the next stage.
04 / Before you book
Good to know.
Do I need to know which AI tool I want?
No. Start with the work you want to improve. Your existing systems, access and data requirements will shape the options.
Will you build an automation during the session?
The session is for discovery and a decision brief. A build, audit or training engagement needs its own agreed scope.
Do I have to hire you afterwards?
No. You can use the brief independently. Further work is a separate decision.
Does the fee count towards later work?
Yes. If you go on to an engagement of €1,500 or more within 90 days of the session, the €250 fee comes off your first invoice. See the terms.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Cancel at least two calendar days before the session for a refund. For rescheduling, email me at least two calendar days ahead. Shorter-notice changes are by agreement.
What if I need an NDA before sharing details?
If you need me to sign an NDA or confidentiality agreement before you share details, email me first at hello@jimchristian.net and we’ll agree it before you book.
What if we need supplier onboarding or a purchase order?
Email me before booking so we can agree the engagement and payment arrangements.
05 / Ask first
Not sure yet? Ask me a question first.
Tell me what you want AI to do and what’s in the way. I’ll reply by email.
Thanks — that’s with Jim now.
That didn’t send. Email hello@jimchristian.net instead.
